PORTO FIRA SUITES - HOTEL IN FIRA
|
Location
The original cavern building, dating from the 14th century, over the years, has served as a Venetian mansion as well as a monastery¢s quarters and storage house. It was restored in strict accordance with the architecture and geometry of the buildings of Santorini, using local materials, mainly stone, with colors and techniques inherited from the past.
This was one of the factors that the property has been officially characterized by G.N.T.O. (Greek National Tourism Organisation) as a Traditional type hotel - one of the only 28 premises of this type on the island.
The lluminous white of the cubic building, the black coble-stone terraces, the blue of the water that lies 300 meters beneath it, the gold of the sun above, create a magnificent blend of colours on the canvas of the traditional Greek village that encircles Porto Fira Suites.
